One bite + we feel transported back to our childhood - only a dish based on an old family recipe can do that! But what if the cook can't for the life of him or her remember how to prepare it? This is exactly the problem facing siblings Leo (60), Elisabeth (50), Ursula (53), Angelika (55), Irina (56) + Ludwig (59) from Dormagen. Because in her old age, mother Annemarie (84) has forgotten how to prepare the much-loved roast pork - much to the chagrin of her children. A new and special challenge for top chef Björn Freitag. Can he help the Küppers family reconstruct the lost recipe? Which meat should it be and how important is the quality? Alexander im Brahm can explain this during a joint excursion to the farm. The farmer attaches great importance to keeping his Ruhr Valley free-range pigs in a manner appropriate to the species - this is also noticeable in the meat. Björn Freitag will also provide delicious and inexpensive side dishes. But will the dish be to the family's taste?
