Beautiful! On the peace route between Münster and Osnabrück - On the road with Daniel Aßmann
The "Peace Route" between Münster and Osnabrück is worth a trip. 370 years ago couriers were sent back and forth between the two cities to negotiate the Westphalian peace + to end the 30-year war. And so Daniel Aßmann sticks the peace sign on his orange van and sets off in search of historical and beautiful places. On his way there is the water castle Vischering, where he helps baking bread according to historical recipes. Afterwards Daniel Aßmann takes a paddle tour on the river Stever and meets the narrator and musician Markus Hoffmeister in the spa town of Bad Iburg, who tells (peace) stories from all over the world on his "drum tours". Other attractive destinations on the peace route are the tranquil village of Gimbte, Tecklenburg with the largest open-air stage in Germany and the Rieselfelder, an idyllic retreat for endangered (migratory) bird species.
