Inns in the countryside - Memories from the Southwest
They were the big meeting place, especially for the male village community: the inns in the countryside. In the past, many innkeeper families ran a brewery, a butcher's shop and agriculture on the side. The guest room was often also the living room where the innkeeper's children grew up. Entire biographies took place between the kitchen and the bar - over generations.
