Klein gegen Groß - The Anniversary Show - Play10 years of "Klein gegen Groß" with Kai Pflaume
Germany's most successful family show turns 10: On Saturday, October 16, host Kai Pflaume invites viewers to the anniversary edition of "Klein gegen Groß" on the German TV channel Ersten. The show's record so far is impressive. In 8334 minutes of broadcasting, 457 small challengers with special skills competed against 403 celebrity opponents in 377 duels. On average, 6.5 million viewers in Germany alone watched the editions of "Klein gegen Groß - Das unglaubliche Duell" that premiered this year on the German public broadcaster Ersten. The market share so far in 2021 has averaged 20.8 percent, and 16.2 percent among 14- to 49-year-olds. In addition, there are still rising viewing figures in the ARD Mediathek - from January to August there were almost 830,000 - as well as viewers for renewed broadcasts in the third programs. "Klein gegen Groß - Das unglaubliche Duell" is also running simultaneously with the first on ORF 1 (Austria) + SRF (Switzerland).
In the anniversary edition, Kai Pflaume again welcomes numerous top stars such as actress Senta Berger, singer Peter Maffay, entertainer Joko Winterscheidt, actor Elyas M'Barek, Wimbledon winner Martina Hingis and singer-songwriter Nico Santos. They all compete in challenging duels against their "little opponents," who have very special skills despite their young age.
A particularly tricky math problem awaits Christoph Maria Herbst. His little challenger claims that he can blindly fill a chessboard with numbers in such a way that a three-digit number, randomly selected beforehand, emerges as the cross sum in each horizontal, vertical + diagonal. The actor wants to face the difficult duel ...
Olympic gymnastics champion Fabian Hambüchen competed in the first "Klein gegen Groß" show on June 11, 2011. On this anniversary, he is taking on a new task: This time, he wants to manage to do more of the so-called "endo rolls" than his little challenger. In the strength-sapping exercise from gymnastics, the bent body is lifted into a handstand with arms and legs extended.
Klein gegen Vogel: actor Jürgen Vogel is competing in his game "Klein gegen Vogel" for the last time in the anniversary edition and has therefore firmly resolved to win again this time.
