NZZ Format - Forgotten places: Adrenaline and adventure
Kai, Mike + Luca are "Urban Explorers" - urban explorers - in search of lost, forgotten and abandoned places. They set off at 3:00 in the morning. No one is allowed to watch them enter the empty castle. Several months a year they tour half of Europe and Asia in search of "Lost Places".
An "NZZ Format" about adventures, abandoned places and legacies. Whether castles, former Stasi prisons or airplane wrecks, from the French Atlantic coast to Kazakhstan - there is a lot to discover. The morbid charm, the very own aesthetics of decay meets the spirit of the times.
"Urban exploration" has been all the rage at least since the advent of visual networks like Facebook and Instagram. Whether as a photo backdrop or as a film location, good money has long been made from these lost places.
