Caretaker Klaus is the man for all cases. He looks after the outdoor swimming pool at the grammar school. Every Monday he welcomes people who suffer from very severe depression. He himself is affected and founded the self-help group Depression Hamburg-Blankenese after a failed attempt to take his own life. In the meantime, Roman, the baritone, Dominique, the former Bundeswehr soldier, Ilse, the doctor's assistant, or Georg, who has been withdrawing into the darkened bedroom for a year and a half, and many others - come to the appointment every Monday punctually at 6 p.m. - even on holidays.
The film documents some of the group discussions up close. Individual participants talk about their suffering at home. A very special excursion leads to the "Reflection Weekend" at Fichtenhof. Specialists from the psychiatric hospital have registered at the leisure facility run by the Diakonischer Landesverein für Innere Mission. They did not want to give a lecture but to hear for themselves about the success of this self-help group. But things turn out differently, because Semso, a group member, is in danger. "The appointment. Together against depression." - another reportage that gives courage, even if the people in their stories speak of a merciless illness. Roman wanted to jump off a scaffolding as late as January. During filming, he wrote in a Facebook post in June: "I want to work towards creating visibility for many people and illnesses that often seem so invisible. I love life a little more again."
