Joachim Löw is entering his last tournament as national coach. The Sportschau highlights the work of the soccer coach who climbed from Breisgau to the soccer summit - in the Audiothek + Mediathek.
In the end, it will be almost eight million minutes, more than 130,000 hours, almost 5,550 days. Voters who will be able to vote for the first time in September on the composition of the Bundestag know only Angela Merkel as chancellor - and him as national coach: Joachim Löw.
Almost 15 years ago, he took over the job from Jürgen Klinsmann, whose assistant he had already been for two years. Soon it will be the end. After the European Championship, Löw will hand over to his former assistant Hans-Dieter Flick. Will it be three, four, five, six or even seven games? Will he perhaps win another title? In the short term, the performance at the pan-European tournament will shape the impression Löw leaves behind.

The Sportschau traces this path. "Joachim Löw - The Story. From Breisgau to the Bundes-Jogi" is the title of a series by author Bernd Schmelzer, which will be available in the Mediathek from now on.
The triumph in Rio de Janeiro with the 7:1 earlier against host Brazil, the years-long rivalry with Spain and bitter defeats, the gambled semi-final at EURO 2012 against Italy, the "summer fairy tale" still as an assistant - all this is illuminated in detail, with voices from and about Joachim Löw.
