SAT.1 report crime scene highway! Use under danger of life
On Germany's main traffic arteries, the police have to deal with ever new problems. Due to the open borders, there are hardly any barriers within the EU for drug smugglers, arms dealers, smugglers and gangs of thieves. In addition, speeders, tailgaters and other traffic offenders are also up to no good. They make the 13,000 kilometres of motorway in Germany a dangerous place: more than 20,000 accidents a year with over 30,000 injured and around 400 dead.
