Raue - The restaurant saviour -"Gaststätte Fortschritt" in Rathenow
As the successor to Christian Rach on RTL, Tim Raue wants to support restaurateurs who are on the brink of insolvency, not least due to two years of the pandemic. The effects of corona, a constant shortage of staff and the operators' lack of industry knowledge are usually the main reasons. Michelin-starred chef and entrepreneur Tim Raue sees an enormous need for action here and, as the new ‘restaurant tester’, has a specific goal in mind: to save livelihoods!
Tim and Katharina Raue travel to Rathenow in Brandenburg to the ‘Gaststätte Fortschritt’ restaurant. Owner Ralf is desperate. The restaurant is suffering from a dramatic lack of guests and dwindling income, which is a huge burden for his wife, who is currently shouldering the entire financial burden. When Tim meets chef Maik, the star chef recognises Maik's potential and is determined to teach him a lot in order to improve the menu and attract guests again. However, Tim not only challenges Maik, but also Ralf himself - a duel for ‘the best venison sausage’ is imminent.
As an expert in design, Katharina is now responsible for the ambience of the ‘Fortschritt’ restaurant and is completely redesigning it. Her aim is to integrate the themes of ‘game’ and ‘hunting’ into the new design in order to create a unique atmosphere that inspires the guests. Will they succeed in alleviating Ralf and his wife's despair and saving the restaurant? Will Ralf have more time for his family again?
